The Artist

I’m Ethan, a landscape photographer fascinated by the way light and land tell their stories. Growing up in Northeast Pennsylvania, I never imagined I would find myself drawn to the striking and diverse landscapes of the West. Through this portfolio, I share the moments and scenes that have shaped my vision and continue to inspire my photography.

During my high school and college years, I had little exposure to towering mountain ranges or expansive deserts. My adventures were modest, hiking to local waterfalls and wandering to secluded overlooks, moments I now realize I once took for granted. It wasn’t until later that photography became a lens through which I could explore the world, leading me to my first Sony camera and a growing desire to capture the beauty around me.

In 2018, my wife and I visited Zion National Park and hiked Angels Landing. From the summit, we were mesmerized as the sun poured across the canyon walls, casting the valley in shifting shades of deep orange and gold. That moment, timeless, immense, and completely alive, shifted the way we see the world and inspired the landscapes I continue to pursue, with Utah becoming a place that would forever shape our lives.

Through my photography, I aim to convey calm and wonder. I focus on minimalistic compositions and subtle, often-overlooked details, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and let their imagination roam freely across the scenes I capture.
